About 3 months later, he took the bold step and told Sunflower how he felt. His biggest fear…. cont from part 1
…was being bounced. Uhmmm……………………….. Sark was BOUNCED! Big time. yah. big time typ-a-bounced! I am sometimes a terrible friend (if not always) so when he told me he was bounced, meerrhhnn!, I laughed! I wasn’t laughing to make him feel worse, I just laughed because…..mmmm….I don’t know, I just laughed and laughed and laughed ( I don’t feel bad and you’re about to find out why)
Sark was bounced because she was with another guy. At the time Sark noticed Sunflower, she was very single and available and interested in Sark too yet my dear Sark, made no moves. Apparently, Sunflower’s brother and mom tried to invite Sark over a year ago so that he makes his moves but, you know my guy, he did nada! Her mom asked him a couple of times why he wasn’t expressing his feelings and guess what, he said “ooooo I am waiting for the right moment’ Yea the right moment never came until 3 months ago when she was busy loving some other dude. You can tell that her mom gave up on Sark just like Sunflower did.
Surprisingly, Sark went to Sunflower’s house out of the blue after being bounced to say “Hi” and then “Hi” became a real long conversation and Sark noticed from the conversation that Sunflower, was at the verge of breaking up with the other guy. Yaaaayyyy!! I don’t know if this was supposed to be a happy moment but I was happy for a good reason that SARK HAD A CHANCE! Sark was hyped now and he said he won’t exploit her pain so she should call him when she’s ready. (trying to be a cool gentleman)
A month after that long conversation, Sark got a call from Sunflower and all she said was “Hello, I am ready”, and the line dropped.
I know this sounds real dramatic but it’s not what you’re thinking, her airtime got finished so the line dropped hahahaha….
Guess what, Sark was out of airtime too…..
This may have made Sunflower feel terrible because Sark didn’t call back immediately after the line dropped but Sark wasn’t giving up this time. He took his bicycle and headed over to her place to hear what she had to say in his face. You can say he made the best out of the situation with the poem he wrote over a year ago (and she was shocked to see him in her house). Fast-forward, he was accepted, everyone is happy and in the clouds.
A couple of weeks into their relationship, they were invited to a wedding and the wedding never came off because of the title of this blog, the Genotype Saga. The couple were not a match and they had to call off their wedding. Sad huh?
Sunflower asked Sark immediately the wedding was called off about his genotype stating clearly and point blank that she was an ‘AS’. Sark didn’t know his so, he had to check that over the weekend at a clinic. She was anxious and restless until the weekend. She accompanied him to the clinic for the test and she got tested too just to be sure because, she knew her genotype based on what her mama told her (her family had lost a brother to sickle cell so…).
The results are out and no one wants to open the envelope…
